A Wish Is For Life

Two-Day Anniversary Celebration of Make-A-Wish Greece at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center

Make‑A‑Wish Greece celebrates 30 years of strength and giving with a special anniversary event at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

The two‑day celebration will be inaugurated by Linda Pauling, co‑founder of the global organization and mother of young Chris – the very first wish child whose story sparked the worldwide movement in 1980. Her presence will mark this historic moment. Throughout the two days, the events will highlight the organization’s social impact, honouring wish children and their families, as well as the volunteers, donors, supporters, and initiatives from across Greece who have played a vital role in granting more than 4,260 wishes over the past three decades.

30 Years of Gratitude

Stavros Niarchos Hall

Start Time
19:00

On Monday, April 27 at 19:00, we welcome you to the anniversary event “30 Years of Gratitude”, dedicated to wish children, their families, volunteers, donors, and supporters who have stood by the organization’s mission throughout the years.
During the evening, major benefactors of the past 30 years will be honored, while moving stories and a retrospective of defining moments will highlight the enduring work of Make-A-Wish Greece and its impact on Greek society.

Thirty years after the first wish was granted in Greece, the organization continues with the same vision:

to reach every child facing a critical illness by granting their deepest wish and transforming their life forever.

At the same time, it continues to inspire and unite a wide community of people who bring light into the lives of children battling serious illnesses.
