Fundraising and Donation Acceptance Policy

Make-A-Wish Greece raises funds to fulfil the wishes of children living with critical illnesses. We rely on the generosity of individuals, companies, foundations, groups and other supporters who share our commitment to making these wishes come true.

Support for our work can take many forms, including:

  • Financial donations from individuals, companies, foundations and other organisations.

  • Corporate sponsorships and partnerships, including joint campaigns, cause-related marketing and initiatives that connect products or services with support for our work.

  • In-kind contributions, including donations of goods, products or services that help meet the needs of the organisation or support its activities.

  • Fundraising events and initiatives organised by individuals, companies, groups or other organisations, in coordination with Make-A-Wish Greece.

  • Other forms of support, such as corporate gifts, donation boxes and volunteering.

Principles for Accepting Donations and Partnerships

We assess every donation, sponsorship and proposed partnership against Make-A-Wish Greece’s mission, values and principles. Our decisions are guided by transparency, integrity and the need to safeguard the organisation’s independence, credibility and reputation.

Where applicable, partnerships must be agreed in advance, with clear terms covering their purpose, duration, the nature of the support and how the partnership will be communicated to the public. Communications or promotional materials featuring the organisation’s name, logo or other brand assets must follow our approval process. Their use requires prior authorisation from Make-A-Wish Greece.

We are committed to transparency about the support we receive and to appropriately recognising the contributions of our donors and sponsors. Any public statement about a partnership must accurately describe the nature of the collaboration and the contribution made, in line with our procedures and applicable law. Where required, relevant agreements must also be filed with the competent financial authorities.

Make-A-Wish Greece is politically neutral. We do not associate our mission, name or public profile with political parties, party-affiliated organisations, candidates or election campaigns. Our name, logo and other brand assets may not be used to promote or support political purposes of this kind.

We reserve the right to consider each proposal on its own merits and to decline or end any donation, sponsorship or partnership that conflicts with our mission, values or policies, or that could compromise our independence, credibility or reputation.

Every contribution helps us fulfil our mission and is handled responsibly, so that we can grant more wishes.

Make-A-Wish Greece, acting independently and as an affiliate of the global Make-A-Wish organisation, reserves the right to amend or update this policy whenever necessary to reflect its mission, values, internal procedures and applicable legal or regulatory requirements. The latest version will be published on the organisation’s official website.
