Mahir is a shy child that has difficulty expressing himself and does not make new friends very easily. Due to his illness, he lives with his parents at the guest house; away from his friends and family relatives. When he told us he did not have any friends to call over on his special day, his fairy realized Mahir’s need to have a good time while hanging around other children and how much he needed to make new friends. So, she decided that besides the PlayStation 5 with its matching steering wheel that Mahir had wished for in order to spend his time while being away from home, she would also offer him something a lot more important: friends!
Fairies and elves prepared a wonderful small party at the guest house, along with other VIP guests: the rest of the children that were staying there and felt exactly like our Mahir…away from their homes while fighting their illness.
Presents, toys, food and many new friends were in store for Mahir that day! A sweet animator entertained the children and although our friend was shy and visibly exhausted from his therapies, he kept smiling and clapping the whole time! The fairies made sure every child received a present; even the ones that were not there because they had to be at the hospital. Mahir, would give to those children their presents when they returned, that way they would meet and become friends. His fairy had thought of everything!
Of course, the unveiling of his gaming console was this beautiful day’s ideal closure! Mahir got the PlayStation he dreamed of, but also made new friends and something even more important: he managed to share his happiness with all the other children that were staying at the guest house and who needed this just as much as he did.
