Lilian is a girl full of joy. She is very spontaneous and talkative and she makes the whole world shine every time she smiles. Her parents told us that the last 370 days were very difficult, with endless hours of treatments and hospitalization to fight leukemia. However, Lilian was a fighter. She remained strong during the entire time.

From the very beginning, she knew which her deepest wish was. She wanted a tree house and had planned every little detail: the tree house was going to be painted like a rainbow and it was going to be decorated by rainbows and unicorns.

When the day of the wish granting arrived, our volunteers arrived at Lilian’s house early in the morning. When everything was ready and we were waiting for Lilian, a storm broke out and we couldn’t even get close to the tree house. But Lilian didn’t get upset for a single second. She started playing with our volunteers, laughing hard and enjoying every minute of their time together. After they unwrapped her gifts and ate every candy we had brought for her, they rain-checked the “opening” of the tree house. She was waiting with anticipation and impatience the second day of her wish. As it is said: “After every storm comes a rainbow”. Thus, the day of her wish was not long in coming.

After a few days, it was time for her anticipation to end and for the “rainbow” to appear. When Lilian saw the entire tree house, she was shocked. Everyone applaud at her. She kept shouting “It’s perfect! It’s perfect!”. From now on, she had her own space that was going to give her the joyful moments she has missed during the time she was at the hospital. Her tree house was the “rainbow” after her “storm”!
